一部改良でキャビンが5人乗りに。安全装備も充実
5月9日、トヨタは一部改良を実施した新型「プリウスPHV」を発売した。モデルラインアップおよび消費税込みの車両本体価格は以下のとおり。
・S：3,178,440円
・S“セーフティパッケージ”：3,285,360円
・S“ナビパッケージ”：3,661,200円
・A：3,502,440円
・A“ナビパッケージ”：3,926,880円
・Aプレミアム：3,814,560円
・Aプレミアム“ナビパッケージ”：4,266,000円
新型では、キャビンが従来の4人乗りから5人乗りに変更され、使い勝手が高められているのが大きな特徴。さらにクルマ（のバッテリー）に蓄えた電気を住宅に供給する仕組み「V2H」に対応する外部給電気機能がオプションで設定され、災害などの停電時にプリウスPHVを「蓄電池」として活用できるようになった。
また、住宅の太陽光発電などで生み出された余剰電力を、車両の駆動用バッテリーに蓄電することも可能で、電力需要の平準化が期待できる。バッテリーの充電時間は約1時間30分と、一般的な200V用充電ケーブルを使用した場合と比べて大幅に短縮できる。
そのほか、安全・安心装備の充実化も実施。駐車場から後退で出庫する際に、左右後方から接近してくる車両を検知し、注意喚起する「リヤクロストラフィックアラート」を、「S」を除く全車に標準装備。
さらに、車両を俯瞰したような映像をナビ画面に表示する「パノラミックビューモニター」を、「Aプレミアム“ナビパッケージ”」と「A“ナビパッケージ”」、「S“ナビパッケージ”」に標準装備。インテリジェントクリアランスソナー（パーキングサポートブレーキ［静止物］）は、「S」にオプション設定、その他のグレードには標準で装備された。
車載通信機「DCM（Data Communication Module）」が全車に標準搭載された点もニュースだ。これにより、走行アドバイスや車両診断を遠隔で受けられる「eケアサービス」や「LINEマイカーアカウント」といったさまざまなコネクテッドサービスが、T-コネクト対応ナビを介して利用可能になる。
