On Sept. 28, 2016, Chevrolet set the Guinness World Records™ title for the World’s Largest Flag Pulled by a Moving Vehicle with a 2017 Silverado HD powered by a new, more powerful Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo-diesel engine. The truck set the record by flying a nearly 40- by 80-foot U.S. flag around the Texas Motor Speedway and later pulled a massive State of Texas flag in honor of the State Fair of Texas.
