On Sept. 28, 2016, Chevrolet set the Guinness World Records™ title for the World’s Largest Flag Pulled by a Moving Vehicle with a 2017 Silverado HD powered by a new, more powerful Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo-diesel engine. The truck set the record by flying a nearly 40- by 80-foot U.S. flag around the Texas Motor Speedway and later pulled a massive State of Texas flag in honor of the State Fair of Texas. The event also included Chevy Truck Legends who participated in the flag pull. Chevy Truck Legends feature Texas residents who have more than 100,000 miles on their Chevy truck or have owned more than one new Chevy truck in their lifetime.
